Lanspec SI20 is used in the preparation of Poly(dimethylsiloxane) in water emulsions, a typical emulsion system is shown below:
Poly(dimethylsiloxane) 70% Water 20% Lanspec SI20 10% The emulsion is produced by charging the Poly(dimethylsiloxane) and Lanspec SI20, applying high-speed mixing to the mixture and then slowly adding the water, continuing mixing until a homogeneous stable emulsion is produced.

- Lanspec SI20 can be supplied in bulk road tankers, IBC’s, 200kg or 25kg nett drums.
Storage & Handling
- Storage Conditions
- Stainless steel, polyethylene or glass-lined equipment is necessary for the storage of Lanspec SI20 to prevent corrosion and subsequent contamination.
- This material can separate on standing and at low temperatures. May require agitation and warming before use.
