Product Highlights
  • Deuteron® LE 15P is a quaternary ammonium salt absorbed onto a SiO2 carrier. The product is a cationic surfactant and acts as an antistatic agent in various applications. Its main working mechanism is based on surface migration and orientation.
  • Deuteron® LE 15P is free of solvents and plasticizers. The product is particularly developed for extrusion processes. The liquid active ingredient is absorbed onto the silica carrier and the product can be used in all applications where liquid components typically cannot be used.

Application and Dosage Information
  • Deuteron®’s anti-static additives can reach anti-static resistivity values between 1x105 and 1x109 Ω (100 kΩ - 1 G Ω) according to EN ISO 20345.
  • These values can vary depending on the test system and the defined test conditions. For further details please refer to our ‘Conductivity Agents’ brochure. In liquid systems, the active ingredient is released during processing. Depending on the formulation, the silica carrier has little influence onto the rheology.

Fields of application include:

  • Powder coatings
  • Plastics and plastisol
  • 100 % systems

Dosage

  • The exact quantities to be used depend on the system and must be individually adjusted and determined for the intended area of application. Depending on the appli- cation, the dosage is between 1 and 5 %. Higher dosages than 10 % are generally not required.

Processing

  • Deuteron® LE 15P can be added to the system at any time. For optimal release, it is recommended to process the material at higher shear forces or in an extrusion process.
