Product Highlights
  • TRAPYLEN® 9500 W is a chlorine-free, watersoluble adhesion promoter. It is based on an acrylate-modified polypropylene with good film flexibility and thermal decomposition resistance.
  • This product is characterized by its excellent affinity and adhesion-promoting effect on polyolefin films, especially those based on PP/TPO/TPE and is therefore particularly suitable for the chemical pre-treatment of such films with subsequent lacquering and embossing.
  • Another area of application is the chemical pre-treatment of molded parts made of PP and PP blends. For use with films and molded parts, it must be formulated accordingly.
  • TRAPYLEN® 9500 W can also be incorporated directly into dispersions of adhesives, paints or printing inks (adhesion promoter), provided that compatibility is given.

Applications
  • For use as a primer, TRAPYLEN® 9500 W should be diluted to 10% solids content. If necessary, coalescing agents, wetting and leveling additives should be added to the dilution.
  • As an adhesion promoter, no more than 10 % (based on the total formulation) should be added to the main matrix.
