Trapylen® 6765 W is an adhesion promoter based on chemically modified, low- chlorinated polypropylene dissolved in water. The dispersion is free of APEO. TRAPYLEN® 6765 W has outstanding affinity to polyole-finic substrates. It is especially developed to improve surface tension of treated and untreated films, foils, foams and even molded parts of PP, PE, polyolefinic blends, a.o. The increase of wetting properties permits the bonding, printing, flocking and painting of such substrates. TRAPYLEN® 6765 W can be occassionally used as adhesion promoter incorporated in adhesives, inks and paints in case of sufficient compatibility.

Notably, it possesses a higher molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution compared to other modified chlorinated types. Due to its reduced content of maleic anhydride, this product exhibits good compatibility properties with other binder resins. Trapylen® 113 S finds versatile applications, serving either as a straight primer or as an adhesion promoter for base coats and pigmented primers. Its primary use is in paintings and coatings for molded parts, including sealing profiles in the automotive industry, such as bumpers, side panels, and door seals.

Trapylen® 186 X is a medium-chlorinated polypropylene dissolved in xylene. Characterized by a higher chlorine content compared to other grades, it exhibits relatively good compatibility with other resins and polymers, along with excellent pigment wetting. The cured film produced by Trapylen® 186 X boasts high gloss and remarkable chemical and aging resistance. Its primary advantage lies in its outstanding adhesion to untreated polypropylene, PP/EPDM thermoplastic rubber, and, to a limited extent, polyethylene.

ProFlex 8 is a versatile mixture of ortho and para-n-ethyl toluenesulfonamide, renowned for its broad compatibility as a plasticizer. Trapylen® 911 S is newly developed chlorine-free polyolefin with excellent adhesion properties on polyolefinic substrates such as polypropylene, PP/EPDM thermoplastic rubbers and with limitations to adhesion strength - as well to polyethylene. Further advantage of this grade is its good solubility in non-aromatic solvents. TRAPYLEN® 911 S is used as adhesion promoter for in printing inks, adhesives and paints, or as a straight primer.

Trapylen® T 8380 is typically applied via spray coating or, preferably, using a mill-point roller. This ready-to-use primer is based on a chemically modified, low-chlorinated polypropylene. It boasts a relatively high film softening temperature, along with excellent film flexibility and resistance against thermal decomposition.

Trapylen® 145 X 2 is a chemically modified low-chlorinated polypropylene recognized for its remarkable affinity to polyolefinic plastics, including PP, PP/EPDM-blends, and, to a limited extent in adhesion strength, PE. Notably, the resin in Trapylen® 145 X 2 boasts a higher molecular weight within the range of 110,000 and a significantly lower chlorine content compared to other maleic-modified Trapylen® grades. These distinctive properties contribute to improved adhesion as well as enhanced heat and chemical resistance. However, it's important to note that these enhancements come at the cost of lower solubility and compatibility.
