Deuteron® Wax PE is suitable for a wide range of applica- tions including:
- Wood and joinery coatings
- Flexographic and gravure inks
- Overprint varnishes
- Metal coatings (can and coil coatings)
- Powder coatings
The use of Deuteron® Wax PE especially improves perfor- mance in:
- Abrasion and scratch resistance
- Rub resistance (printing inks)
- Matting (conventional coatings and powder coatings)
- COF (coefficient of friction) reduction
Dosage
- 0.5 - 3.0 % (calculated on the complete formulation) depending on binder, application and required properties.
Processing
- Deuteron® Wax PE is easy to disperse and can be incorpo- rated using a common high-speed stirrer. In low viscous systems it might be necessary to use a high shear dispersing unit to properly disperse the material.
- Process temperature should be kept below 45°C (113°F)
- It is possible to prepare a pre-mix of Deuteron® Wax PE in a solvent phase at concentrations around 30 – 45 % (depending on the used solvents).
