- Product Highlights
- Deuterol Emulgator BI is largely insensitive to tempera- ture. At least in the temperature range from 0 °C to 300 °C, neither turbidity nor changes in the aggregate state occur.
- When processed in an aqueous-acidic system, the prod- uct, as a cationic emulsifier, gives good emulsion stability on one hand, but at the same time (in conjunction with suitable additives) also enables the emulsion to have a favorable breaking behavior.

- Application and Dosage Information
Applications
- Deuterol Emulgator BI has been specially developed as an emulsifier for the production of bituminous emulsions with water or its further processing in road surfaces.
- The field of application is mainly liquid cold bitumen for road repair works.
Dosage
- The dosage depends on the application and processing conditions and must be checked and adjusted for each individual case.
Processing
- The bitumen is mixed with the emulsifier and then with water in an emulsifying device. It can be mixed with gravel and sand to fill holes and gaps in the road surface. When the water leaves the bitumen/water/filler/water mixture (drying), the emulsion/dispersion breaks up and the bitumen becomes a hard mass. After approx. 6 hours the layers are cured and ready for traffic.
